Proverbs 1: 8-9

"My son, hear the instruction of your father.
And do not forsake the law of your mother."

So often children disobey there parents. As parents we can be quick to tell them that they must hear our instruction. Listen to mummy and daddy I do often here myself say. But I have realized that this puts a huge amount of responsibility on to us as parents, as we need to make sure that we a giving the correct instruction. We must make sure that instruction is clear, understandable and not going against God.

Also since we are also children of God we should follow the same lines.
"Hear the instruction of you father."

I guess the question is as children are we listening? For if you don't listen you can never follow.
